I Helen was asked what she learned that she wishes she knew three months ago. Her response was full of insight. Not sure how to really lock this in as it seems like it's easy for all of us to forget at times.

"When things were less busy, kind of going along well . . . we thought we were doing pretty well, I / we need to remember that we need to always have a sense of urgency to get out and keep out in front of the wave."

"I also think that maybe . . . for the analytic personality type that we often 'want things perfect' or at least done really really well and we feel we can do that earlier in the tax season, when in reality if we "just pushed more though, even if it's not perfect' that in the end we actually would give better service to all our clients overall.

"Be proactive and get 100% of what can be done BEFORE we need to. Be careful about creating a roller coaster where we work really hard, take vacations, time off, kind of get back after it and then hit another deadline and start the entire cycle all over again."
